Family Tree

The Amonetts trace their roots back to Jacob Amonett, a Huguenot refugee from the Protestant-Catholic Revolution in France who came to America and settled in Henrico County, Virginia in 1700 with his wife, Judith, and their four children.

Here is an interesting webpage listing the passengers that were aboard the Nassau. She set sail from Kensington, England with 191 passengers aboard, including our ancestor Jacob Amonett, wife Judith, and four children.

Here are first drafts of family trees for each of the ten children of John Alvis and Octivia.  These are based on the family tree in the back of the Amonett cookbook, with more data added from Glen Amonett's notes. These are not yet complete and probably contain some mistakes. We would like to fill in the missing birthdays, marriage dates, and dates of passing, and add the children that have been born in recent years. Can you email us with corrections and additions, or postal mail them? Send email to Dennise Hoover, or postal mail to: Dennise Hoover, 500 Chestnut Street. Ste 1901, Abilene TX 79602. Thanks!
